new timing chain kit for 2001 Tracker Sign In

Just bought a timing chain kit for the 2001 chevy Tracker. 137,000 miles.

Does the engine have to come out?

I have changed the timing belts on other vehicles and just removed every thing in front of the timing chain cover to get at it. Is it similar?

Thanks for any help/info

That question was already asked and answered. No, the motor does not have to come out.
You probably want to think again on tackling that job. It is a 9 hour job for an experienced tech and even a small mistake could result in a destroyed engine.

I deleted your other question. Please stop posting duplicates. You won't get more or better answers.

Oops! Sorry about that duplicate post I thought I only asked once after I went ahead and bought the Timing chain Kit. RockAuto parts

If this is a duplicate also, sorry in advance......how do I get at the hidden control arm set up which is making a screeching noise in the windshield wiper linkage? I have run the wipers off the glass and still the screeching. If this question has been answered I can't see it.

Thanks for any help

EB.
