need help with my 1988 olds(delta 88)

i have a 1988 oldsmobile (delta 88) theres nothing wrong with the car aside from the fact that when you start it it only idles from anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes before the engine cuts out it just started doing this i thought it might be the fule pump but would it stay idleing like that if it was the fule pump? some one mentioned the possibility of the fule regulator??? i would like to know what someone with a little more exsperience thinks any help is greatly apreciated also when the engine cuts off it will start right back up again only to cut off in about 5 to 6 ins again

Check your fuel FILTER and yoru fuel PUMP. Filter may be clogged.
