I am slightly suspicious that my Nissan car engine was damaged during its annual service - I have a 4 year old Nissan car that was put into the garage for an annual routine service before I went off on my holidays and the garage has said I need a new engine.
I am a careful lady driver( +50 ) who was extremely proud to be driving a Nissan Qashqai the car is driven regularly around town and can't believe that my car that appeared to have no issues should now needs a new engine I haven't even got 60000 miles on the clock
Please can you help me understand what may have gone wrong - My previous car a Toyota ??.hatch back thing ??? I had for 6 years and never had an engine issue
Why should this happen with a Nissan car?

A little more info would be helpful.
Were there any issues going on beside routine maintenance that you were going to have the shop check out?
There had to be an explanation to as to why you need a new engine @ 60k. We need to know what they told you was the problem that requires a new engine....

No issues before. I wrote down what they told me as cylinders scored, rings seized, bits into the engine

Without knowing the whole story and being able to see the car it's impossible to really tell one way or another what happened....

The best course would probably be to tow the car to a dealer and have them look at it for a 2nd opinion.

This doesn't sound right but I can't talk to the shop to get their side.
