I have a 2002 dodge intrepid with a 2.7 liter and i have random cylinder misfire based on the code scanner i have replaced the cam position, plugs and a coilpack and still the same. I have been told it could be the throttle position sensor, cat or the egr any seggestions would be great.Mad

Re: misfire Sign In

if you had a scan tool with enhanced capabilities you could look at each cylinders missfire history to see which cylinder was affected or if all were affected. If all were affected....could be egr/fuel pressure/vacuum leak.if it was one cylinder than it may be weak compression/....or a bad/dirty injector. Why did you replace cam position sensor?any other driveability problems like hard starting?low power?hesitation?
