PEUGEOT PARTNER COMBI 1.9 DIESEL VAN--( hi loud rattleing noise pulley area),been to various garages, most tell us its a pulley and spring system fault and is common to this model is it repairable,can i do it or is it a garage job AND is it common fault to the van desperate for info or advise cant run the van,thanks --alan thomlinson

Don't know this vehicle but not important really. If this is a belt driven pulley issue then take the belt off and spin/feel for which one. Self tensioned belts use a "tensioner" with spring and pulley and many are doable jobs with basic DIY skills for vehicle repair. Take a look at which and how hard it looks for you to replace,
