Hi

I have a Renault Megane 1998 1.6 and first thing in the morning it drives ok, no problems whatsoever, however when I stop and do a bit of shopping, I return to the car and its sluggish starting and also there seems to be a loss of power as i struggle to get up to 30mph.. then after about 10 mins of chugging along the engine seems to kick back in and it runs smoothly untill i have to stop again.. then on restarting its the same old thing.

not mechanically minded and wondering what it could be and if its worth getting fixed given the age of the car.
