i drove my 1995 thunderbird the other day and it ran like a charm but yesterday i got on it to go put gas in it.. it didnt run so good. when i push on the gas to go it hesitates for like 5 seconds then it takes off... what could this be? it has the 4.6 V8 in it.

what engine is in it? Does it continue to stutter throughout the revs?

Check the Tube from the airbox to the intake for cracks or leaks. Check your plugs too. Good luck!

have you looked at the plugs? distributor? It could be a timing issue. I am no expert though so I warn you. I am having similar troubles w/ a 77 harley and it is most difinitely timing there. is the car your regular driver or has it sat for a bit???? this could also be a faulty fuel pump- had that problem in a former life too. As I said, I am not an expert and there are far more qualified folks in here. maybe they will see the traffic and stop in to see what is going on w/ this thread. Good luck!!
