Hi i have 2 problems 1 is my truck its a 2000 chevy extended cab 1500 with a 4.8 L code is P0449 i know its part of the evap perge valve dont know where it is.

Other problem my friends car and it is a 95 ford tbird has a problem with L/F caliper hanging up has new rotor, caliper and pads bleed the system still there
thought it could be the abs system changed it with a used one still there swapped the two front brake lines L/F to the R/F and R/F to the L/F problem moved to the right side when i did that the only thing between the master and the caliper is the ABS so we try another used one off a car that had power and new it was good and the problem still there ( the used part has the computer with it changed that also.). it has tracketion control any ideas me and my friend are dumb founded

Re: help Sign In

On the brake problem, just change the 2 front hoses. That's you problem.

Re: help Sign In

hate cars; Agree with HT...probably a front brake hose. As far as the P0449 (purge control valve) goes, it could be the valve, or a problem in the circuit. I wouldn't go replacing parts without finding out which is at fault.
