I have a 1999 Dodge ram 1500 with 90000 miles, it has a 5.2 liter V-8 and gets 8 MPG with 16 inch tires. What can I do to get better mileage.

That truck isn't going to get the best mileage but seems like you might be able to get a few more MPG out of it......

About all you really can do is make sure all the maintenance is put to date on it tune up wise. It might not be a bad idea to get the fuel system service. Make sure the shop uses the system that runs cleaner thru the fuel rail. A lot of places advertise "injector cleaning" but only hook a bottle to a vacuum line, this just cleans the outside of the them.

One of the biggest things would be making sure the tires are inflated properly and the truck is aligned correctly. To drive home the point on tires, pick a small car and push it with the tires where they should be, now drop the pressure to 15psi and push it, then you'll see where your mpg is going.......
