My 95 Geo Prizm 1.8 liter, for some reason only when i make left hand turns the pump like cuts out. its sorta like all the gas shifts to the right side of the tank. Its fine when i have a full tank of gas but when i start to get like to a half a tank it starts to do it. I just put a pump in it. its not a new pump but the pump works fine. i didnt know if it was because i put it in different way or something but i mtched it up to the same way it was with the original. im going to put a new pump in when i can afford one but i didnt know if anyone knew a reason why it would do that.

This started after the fuel pump was replaced? Could be one of the hoses that connects the pump to the metal lines is not tight, or came apart during installation. Is the fuel pickup tube and sock in the same place as the original?

Yes it only happend when i replaced the fuel pump. and i made sure the lines were tight. But Im pretty sure that i faced the pump the same way. The sock i never took off of the one that i replaced it with.

I'm afraid that you'll need to remove the pump for inspection. Sorry.Unsure

Its ok. I got lucky because on my geo the back seat just pops up and comes out and there is a panel where i can access my pump right from the top. I was soooooo happy when i seen that. i dont have to drop my tank or anything. everything is right there at the top.lol
