i need to know the ignition Timing for my 76 351m-400 ford engine. also how can i tell what size eng. i have? thanks a lots.

That engine should have an orange sticker on driver's side valve cover with specs. I've owned a few of them and should know but they may not all have been the same. Try 10 BTDC, check for knock or not, and manifold vacuum at idle around 18-19 suggests you are real close. Not sure if I still have paper books for the exact year but if you don't have any luck or another here more specs I'll go look,
