erratic idle even with pedal pressed	Sign In

I have a 01 silouhette. I recently had an issue when engine warm the car would start hard, have to give gas to start but would run fine. Now at idle it is erratic even with pedal pressed. would barely move and die. Pvc valve has been replaced along with fuel pump. Already cleaned throttle body. No codes except emission codes that have been on it since the day I got the car, (2years ago). Need help please.

What code numbers are stored?

Start by checking the fuel pressure with a gauge when it barely wants to move. Should be somewhere around 55 psi.

no codes current. just old ones. Evap codes. Also just replaced fuel pump this past weekend due to no pressure. Obviously I know I can get a bad fuel pump.

Maybe the pump wasn't the cause and it is an electrical problem causing the pump to turn too slow. You should put a gauge on it and see what the pressure is, so you can get some direction.
