engine wont start 75 F250 Sign In

Hello, I have a 75 F250 with a 360 and two barrel carb. After filling the tank for a trip I parked the truck, the next day I went to start it and it would turn over but as soon as I let the key go for it to run it would die. I thought it might be the carb so I rebuilt it but after installing it it did the exact same thing, then while trying to start it I continued to hold the key on start and the engine continued to run then when I let in go for the engine to run normally it would die thats when I thought it might be electrical. I'm trying to find out where to start my bird dogging is it possibly the ignition switch?

It could be an ignition switch but that needs to be tested to find out.

Yes - test power from ignition. Rare funky stuff was the ignition module (huge thing comparatively) that failed under warranty or lasted forever but at this age forever is closeWink

Pic is shows..........

From memory so be careful Crazy - they were to be matched up by color of the connector. If all else checks out with ignition or replacement fails do check that connections to this critter are good. Long time ago as said but I recall abundant white gummy grease at the plug ins that by now if original would be in question. Most that failed didn't run at all,

(edit to say that the connector color was at the alloy part and this one shows the pigtails that I don't recall coming with these back when from Ford only at the time for a while)
