engine cuts off Sign In

I have a 1990 Olds 88 Royale with 3.8 liter engine. When driving sometimes cuts off for no apparent reason. Let it sit for 10 or 15 minutes and it starts and runs just fine. This car is not a clunker. It runs excellent except for this little problem. I've already had the coil pack changed and had a full tune-up. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If the problem persists after you remove the theft system we can go further. You may have a heat sensitive crank sensor or DIS module.
