i have a 1998 suburban with a 7.4 i keep getting code po463 fuel gauge the gauge ih the dashshakes fast this is the 3rd pump i have put in it and they all do the same so pump is ruled out any ideas on what to look for thanks

I'm assuming you changed the whole assembly 3 times, each coming with a new sending unit. That being the case, it's very unlikely you got 3 bad sending units doing the same thing.
What you could do is run another ground for the sending unit. On the fuel pump connecter there should be 4 wires, 2 of them are black, a large gauge one & a small gauge one. The small one is for the sending unit. Jump another ground to that and if the problem is still there than more than likely the problem is going to be in the cluster. The only other thing you would need to do would be a voltage drop test on the reference wire coming from the sending unit going to the cluster to make sure there isn't any problems there....
