Hey all!

Im trying to plumb up a different fuel tank for a demo car that im building. It is a crown vic with the 4.6 modular motor

My question is, are the two inlets on the fuel rail both a supply and a return? are they both supply?

I know it takes 40-45 lbs of pressure to keep things going and my pump will do that, but when trying to hook everything up, it seems that I just can get the pressure to show on the gauge and I cant get fuel to the motor.

I have spark, and using a noid light i do have signal at the injector, which leads me to this suspected fuel issue
THANKS!!

Drivers side is supply and passenger side is return.

So i do now have my remote boat tank with lines ran up to the fuel rail. I have a brand new pump and 12 volts to it, but I can not build very much pressure. The most I can get on my gauge is 20psi at idle, then when the throttle is pushed the pressure drops out and the car bogs down.

Do I need a restriction on the return side? Since the vehicle is not going to run very long (demo derby), could I plug the return to build enough pressure in the fuel rail?

Is there any way to adjust fuel pressure via a regulator? (I doubt it)

Thanks,
Cale

What pressure will your pump build up to? You actually need a pump that will reach about 80psi and a regulator to drop it down to the operating pressures. If the pump you are using is only good for 25psi, it will not build up any more pressure.
