2004 Pontiac grand prix gt always dies at cold engine start butt after I apply throttle it will stay running. I only apply light throttle at cold start up and it runs fine even if I let off the throttle. it only does this at cold start and after warm up it will not do it again until cool down

Get codes read and post the #(s) that come up. There has to be one or more even if CEL isn't lit to help peg this down, T

That's a good start for things to check in the evaporative emission system meant to "purge" back any unburned fuel vapor by a purge valve. Since you seem to beat this by holding throttle open which is just really allowing more air flow that otherwise is self adjusted I'd first look for all evap hoses, canister itself and any vacuum leaks that seem to seal up and behave when warmer at all so at or around engine rather than at fuel tank. The behavior isn't normal may or may not need part but rather check. It's probably a great time to fully clean up throttle body and IAC valve done by spraying it first with carb cleaner and actually a real used tooth brush (HT we call him has an endless supply of these - inside joke) which could only help and be done with this issue, T

OK - you did recently scan for codes only the p0441. Will your scanner read live data? ECT, FT,s, O2 Volts, MAP/MAF. I often check fuel pressure when seeing drivability and no codes, pressure and leak down* with KOEO. *opening throttle at start suggests 'flooding'
