Hi there,
I've got a '97 Honda CR-V that's gone capput. I was having radiator troubles for awhile, which is probably the cause of everything thats gone wrong with it. I got the radiator replaced but while changing it I found what might be oil in one of the lines to the radiator. The day after it was changed out the car refused to idle high enough to keep froming shutting off while stopped. And the day after that it stopped getting power inspite of the engine still working fine. I parked it and have played with it to find out what's going on. I drained both the oil and the radiator.
The radiator fluid was clean, the oil is the color of sand and has water in it. In addition to that I got a couple of codes off of the car, they are P0700, P0715, P0740. From what I've found they mean I've got a torque converter problem, a transmission problem, and a speed input sensor problem. And I'm pretty positive that the water in the oil is a warped or cracked head gasket.
sooo what I would like to know is what would be the probable cost to get it running again?

Head gasket would be the common place to coolant and engine oil to get into the wrong system. If an automatic trans that uses the radiator to cool the transmission fluid that is the spot where that could happen and would cause issues with the transmission and coolant depending on how much they got mixed up. You don't want any in the other ever.
Engine oil that gets a beige/creamy color and consistancy to it indicates coolant is getting into the engine oil,
