I have a volkswagen jetta 2017 1.4 se, i had a miss fire that i wasnt able to figure out for months. I finally got it to stop miss firing but the way i did it was removing the ground wires was the 2nd cylinder, now the car is runnning perfect and no longer miss firing. Would this be bad for the engine or ok for like 5k miles

As a rule, yes removing a ground is a bad thing. There will likely be something else that doesn't work now but I have no idea what you removed so I can't answer your question.
