It could just bulge/split radiator, stop water pump from turning or up to cracking the block of the engine! What is/was the up front problem - not cranking or cranking but not starting? Note: -5C = ~ 22F Plain water EXPANDS when crossing from liquid to solid. Other liquids contract -- real damage to metal is from expansion....
