cold weather car wont start Sign In

   
car wont start due to cold weather

rover 45 2002 year engine 1400 lease can you advice me on what damage would acure, if the weather was -5 and
i had no anti freeze in my car.

There's no exact one way frozen coolant (or lack of anti-freeze) will cause problems. It could just bulge/split radiator, stop water pump from turning or up to cracking the block of the engine!

What is/was the up front problem - not cranking or cranking but not starting?

Note: -5C = ~ 22F

Plain water EXPANDS when crossing from liquid to solid. Other liquids contract -- real damage to metal is from expansion....
