Just re-built the bottom half of my engine, the truck runs really strong but massivley annoying clicking coming from the engine, hard to say weather its top or bottom...thinkin loose lifter or maybe belt tensioner or idle pulley...any thought please? nickwarner Veteran / Moderator May 2, 2010, 11:54 PM Post #2 of 3 (1009 views) Re: clicking noise Sign In take the belt off, start it and see if noise persists. If not, you have narrowed it to an accesory pulley. If not, its narrowed to the engine and needs further diagnosis.
