chevy 5.0L misfire

I have a 1996 chevy C1500 with the 305 vortec motor and it has a really bad misfire in only cylinder 2 at 2000-3000 RPM unless it is under load. I have tried just about everythingi can think of to get it fixed and nothing seems to be working. I replaced the cap, rotor, and the spark plug. still wasn't fixed so I took it to a local mechanic for him to diagnose it, he said it was a bad spider fuel injection system I replace it and the mis is still there. does anyone have any idea what could fix it?

Ideas: Check fuel pressure especially for leak down and wet plug again at cyl 2 as you know which one. Must know it gets spark at least tested between wire and that plug.
If all else is right now think I'd check compression if that's gone on too long might have harmed then cylinder?
