catalytic converter plugging Sign In

I have a 2003 Impala, LS, 3.8, 140000 miles. Just had catalytic converter replaced, new plugs, injectors cleaned, air filter and I still am not getting the gas mileage I used too. Also it smells like the new converter is plugging up again. And only got 350 miles on it.

I hope you did not use an aftermarket convertor.

That just sounds like a labor charge. Have you talked to them about this prob? Run any tests on the new one yet?

Coolup date on converter. They did install new converter and said it was working ok. The new one installed is not as large as the original gm one, but they said it would perfom as good. Also noticed my ac was on and feel that it cut the mileage down some too.
