I currently own a 79 Winnebago with a 440 Chrystler engine. It had a Thermoquad 4 bbl carb. that failed on me. It was I believe an 800-850. Does anyone know if its possible to run the motor with a Holley 4 bbl, 600-650 carb from a 318?

That carb is too small for a big block plus you would need an adaptor for it to bolt on.

I know thermoquads had their fair share for problems back in the day & there was Holley replacements available but I'm not even sure if they're available anymore....

Maybe someone else'll chime in with some more info

My other option is to shop junkyards for a 4bbl big enough. The biggest problem finding a spreadbore with the closest linkage and capacity. Any particular models I should look for that might have this type of carb.?

Check out carburetion.com & see if there are any apps there that might work.... don't forget the Ws

Never used them but they do seem to have a lot of apps

By the calculations at carb.com, I should be able to use anything over a 600. I do have a 650 Edelbrock on the side, but its set up for chevy linkage. The bolts do line up though. This calculation is based on 5000rpm. That is my best guess in searching the particular specs. From 70 to 79 the rpms range from 4200 and 4500 so Im shooting a little high. Thanks for the web site. It was indeed helpful.
