hi there i have a prob in my car

this morning when i try to start my car it wont start it crank for sec and stater cranck to and my battery is good past few days a go in my car its was showing the engine light and today it wont start i dont know aht happen can some one tell me what to do here plz ....

What engine light is on (was) on before this? Just checking now won't help with the lights. Do check fluids especially oil and try a jump start. What is this vehicle?

I am having the same problem too, car wouldnt start this morning but was working fine just yestorday! Had battery checked this morning. Already tried jump starting it. Any one got any clues? it sounds fine when its trying to start but it just wont start. Its a 2001 pontiac grand am se1. Thanks in advance

The first thing to do with a car that cranks but won't start is to islolate the two common reasons which is fuel and spark. Which is missing and then chase down why. Most cars don't lack both all of a sudden,

1ST POST - If engine light is on, get it code checked by a diagnotic tool from your local or mobile mechanic. If Battery light is on, it could be your ALT or Battery.

2ND POST - Has any dash lights come on? if no, do what Tom said "Fuel & Spark" If yes, tell me which one is on.
