car struggling while idling

i own a seat ibiza 1.6 sport year 2000. 63k miles.
its recently started to struggle while its idling usually rev's just below 1000 drops erratically up and down to 500 and back up again and even sometimes stall's. also while accelerating up to speed from lights or to 40mph the car is really jumpy and seems like it wants to stall.
after ive been driving for about 10 minutes the problem go's.
any help or thoughts would be appreciated!!!

sounds to me like your positive crankcase ventilation (pcv) is bad. you might want to check for broken lines or if there is vacuum pressure.
