car starting trouble - help Sign In

I have a 1998 Nissan Maxima with 146K miles and I'm living in north Kansas. When I start my car in the winter early morning for the last few days, the engine is cranking without starting. The battery seems to be fine. The engine will crank for few seconds and it will shut off. After 9-10 tries, the engine will start. After I drive the car for some time and if I start the car within 3-4 hours , it is starting fine. When I went to the mechanic , he is saying that everything seems to be fine with the engine. Can you please provide suggestion what can I do to correct this problem. Thanks!

One copy of your question is sufficient. I deleted the duplicate.

sdheepaks; Nissan's are famous for poor sensor connections. Check the connector for the CTS. (coolant temp sensor). Clean both the connector and the sensor contacts and make sure it is a tight connection. Would be nice to have a scanner connected when the engine is cold to see what the computer is 'seeing'?
