car randomly died!!!! Sign In

was driving my 97 turboed civic 1.6 vtech and car shut down while driving. has new battery and alternator but when i try to turn it on all it does is clicks. i took off the valve cover and there is a fair amount of oil sitting in it and the gasket now is bad. what is my next option. the only thing i can think of is taking everything apart and going thru the whole motor

Or you could just send it to rice burner heaven with the rest of them.

Can you turn the crankshaft by hand 2 full revolutions?

Well, if the crankshaft can be turned by hand, but the starter doesn't turn the crank shaft, why would you want to take the engine apart?

You need to diagnose the starting system it seems.
