car not started for a year Sign In

I have a 2015 Honda Civic that hasn't been started for nearly one year. So the battery is dead. I want to know what to do to protect the car from damage caused by starting it now. For example, the oil is probably compromised after all this time, so I should change the oil before charging the battery and starting the car. Is there anything else I should do before starting this car for the first time in a year, to protect the car from damage?

I would be more concerned with the fuel, not the motor oil.

I would try to find a way to remove every bit of gas and replace it with fresh gas. You may or may not have a problem with the electric fuel pump.

Battery would be dead in a year so forget charging it even if it responded it's over for that one.

Fuel on the list when you can sample or smell it do that first before cranking it.

YEAR can/rust spots on brake rotors when first started and trying it hold still first and make sure. First braking may feel lumpy means rotors have to go.

It's not forever on a car fuel, oil after it runs for some miles/time.

IMO and only that if not there in person it will be saved a few glitches may show up.

FUEL already said is an IDK additives vary cause the problems pure fuel doesn't is not sold at gas stations USUALLY,
