i change my head gasket on my truck 1992gmc put it back together but now i cant get it to turn over to set my timing it turns tight and if i keep turn it it smokes thru my ignition the only thing i have change was the starter 1992 gmc siearra5.7 4x4 extended cab

Sounds like either you got the distributor in wrong or the firing order is incorrect....................
