You didn’t tell us what year or engine size but Ford only seemed to have offered the Escort ZX2 for a couple of years. (Here in Canada anyway) My component locator says it’s on the left rear of the engine, left being the driver’s side, rear being the end of the engine not the part that faces the firewall. It’ll be close to the top of the engine and it will have a two-wire connector, one wire is blue the other green. There should only be one bolt that secures it to the cylinder head and then it just pulls out (Or it should just pull out) sometimes the o-ring seal gets stuck and it may take a bit of effort to work the sensor free. When you go to reinstall the sensor make sure that the bore where the sensor fits into has been wiped clean and that the o-ring seal on the sensor does not have any damage on it. If it does have even the slightest nick in its surface replace it, if you don’t the seal will likely leak oil? Also after everything has been cleaned and inspected, wipe a little bit of fresh motor oil on the seal, it will side in easier and the chances of damaging the seal is a lot less. Dan. Canadian "EH"
