Hi there Just a few hours ago I accidentally put screen wash into the radiator fluid tank of my car (VW POLO 1.4 tdi 2004). I am not sure how to get this out.... The only option that I see is siphoning it out with a tube. But I am wondering whether there may still be a risk of this liquid getting into the system and causing problems along the line. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Nad

Most washer fluid is just an alcohol with a tint and won't hurt it if you get it out now by whatever means. Then fill properly to the correct level with 50/50 anti-freeze and water. The alcohol will just dissapate away but you should keep checking the freeze protection as it has been diluted. If it's very cold where you are you should drain the whole system now and fill with proper mix. It will take several cycles of warming up and cooling down to get an accurate reading. If the washer fluid was something other than the usual methyl alcohol I would flush out the system and start over. It shouldn't be harmful to the cooling system but do find out what was in that fluid. If in doubt - get it out, T
