I have recently started having problems trying to start my car first time in the morning, It will turn and turn for around 30 seconds before firing up with lots of white smoke .Once the car has been started in the morning it will start first time for the rest of the day with no problems. I had new glow plugs put in but still had the same problem. Can anyone help? 2006 VECTRA 1.9 CDTI

Are you losing any coolant? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

We don't have that vehicle here so I don't have specifics but white smoke is usually steam that indicates burning coolant. Fuel will sometimes show up as white smoke also.

You should take it back to the shop that installed the glow plugs. Sounds like they didn't solve the issue. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
