1994 Bonnieville wont start.

Year of vehicle : 1994
Make of vehicle : Pontiac
Model of vehicle : Bonnieville
Engine size : 4.8 ? Not sure!
Engine will turn on, yet after about 2 seconds the engine revs then dies. I have Replaced the fuel pump and filter after this problem began without relieving the problem. I am out of ideas as to what to do, the car does not run long enough for the check engine light to come on or the codes to be read by the computer systems. Please help.

Probably, 3.8L. Is the ECM not storing any trouble codes? Can't read KOEO data? Does the engine actually start running, then dies after a couple of seconds? Do you have spark at the plugs at this particular moment? Could be any number of reasons. Need more info.
