Won't start

My 95 Chevy truck won't start. It will turn over, but will not fire. Battery gage is not registering power, but the battery is good.
Before it quit all together, it would quit running when I was driving.
Any ideas?

Chase down all the battery cable connections at both ends. I have found them in trouble on brand new vehicles!

I traced all the leads down every thing seems ok the engine is still turning over but not firing

Ok: I got off on concentrating on the gauge not working and no running. There may be no connection to that but I would be looking at the wiring to the alternator as a possible common cause. Can you get a code read to see if that helps? It might at this point at least lead to the problem area,
