1978, sbc, L48, vette. Stock w/ california smog equipment.
Will not idle cold, acts flooded, bogs when reved. Upon warm up - like a switch is thrown runs perfect. You can here the change in idle, rough to smooth.
Takes forever in winter, 2 - 3 minute in summer.
Tried multiple choke settings including chiltons manual info.
Carb?, emmisions?

If it's only happening when cold it could be some bad plug wires but more likely is in the choke setting. That is a complicated choke to set up properly. There are a number of different adjustments to set up and they are pretty sensitive. See if your choke pull off holds vacuum and is set up properly.
