Who is responsible?

I took my car to one service center for a checkup because it wasn’t driving a smoothly as usual. They found out that one of my spark plugs was improperly installed. It was jammed in and they were having difficulties removing it. It’s going to cost me hundreds to have it fixed. I had my spark plugs replaced by the dealer 16 months ago. I was told that the problem could easily take that long to cause my car issues. I have proof that it was a particular dealer that installed them. How should I go about getting them to pay for the repairs? Thanks.

Well, the first step would be to bring the car to them and explain the situation and give them a chance to do the right thing. If they refuse, then you start going up the chain of command starting with the Service advisor, then the Service Manager and then the regional Service Manager. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
