I have 1995 Toyota camry LE, 129k mls.
1. When I start the car it look normal, however it can't keep in idle. The speed starts from more than 1000 and then dropping slowly to 0. It happened specially after parking for hours or overnight. It happens sometimes not all the time.
By the way, I just bought a bottle of carburetor cleaner and pour in the gas tank according to the manual. Does it help? 2. Sometimes the suddenly become very vibrating when start the car. It becomes quiet when start moving. Why?

Carb cleaners and solvents are better at preventing problems than curing them. Any codes on this car?

Thank you very much.
Where can I find the code you ask for?

Re: When start the car it can't keep in idle Sign In

I understand AutoZone and others are now doing code reading for free so I think it's worth a try. It may not show any helpful info but worth a try.

Just re-read your first post of troubles that this is intermittent but only after sitting like overnight. This kind of leads to a fuel pressure or injector leakdown problem. Perhaps the carb cleaner will help but don't overdo that stuff. If that works even a little bit try just using like 25% of what it calls for on container another time or two.

Also look for the overall integrity of the air cleaner assy and the filter itself. Fuel filters are often neglected and a new one can't hurt anything but I do suggest go for quality and ignore the price of filters in general.

In that this is intermittent it may be difficult to pin point right now so rule out all obvious problems like any late maintenance items, look at the vacuum hoses and wiring connections and see if anything looks wrong. Take note of how long it takes to cause this and what is different when it doesn't as that may help,

Thanks, Tom.
I will do what you suggested.
Another problem: Sometimes the car suddenly becomes very vibrating when start the car. It becomes quiet when start moving. Why?

The "Vibration/noise" is probably low engine speed which is probably not the cause but the side effect of the problem,
