Vectra Engine stalls at about 4000 rpm help Sign In

Please help, my engine stalls when I accelerate to about 4000 rpm, I just lose everything.
I used to have a light on the dashboard which said I had a lambda sensor broken but when I took it to the garage it read that a camshaft sensor was at fault.
But this car doesn't have a camshaft sensor so after some searching on the Internet we decided to change the crankshaft sensor as this is what was being indicated by other people.
Any way after replacing that sensor the car still stalls at 4000 rpm.
Really hope someone on here can help before I have to start replacing all sorts of sensors.

this car isn't sold in the US, so I don't think we will be much help for you as we have never seen one.
