Update Olds Alero Hard Start/Stall

Started on 1 crank this morning. Took 10 attempts with 6-8 cranks leaving work after sitting for 9 hours. Stalled shortly after leaving parking lot and restarted. Made the 20 mile trip without a stall. Temp guage creeps slightly above normal for first time ever since temps have been in 60's in NJ. Guage returns to normal at speed. Trouble seems to have started when I topped off coolant a month ago. Topped off again yesterday and condition has worsened. Just had one incident of coolant on driveway (3-4 scattered golf ball sized stains, and this was day after top off. No leak since but hard start and stall 2 days after coolant top off. Only added about 1/4 quart.
Improper coolant add? Coincidence and not coolant issue. Don't smell coolant, don't smell gas. Puzzled. 2002 Alero 4 cylinder with 135K on clock. Also, no check engine light.
