Search Auto Parts Search Truck shifts in and out of gear Sign up here!   Email This Post Auto Repair Home>> Automotive Repair>> Engine Troubleshooting PopsTruck New User May 30, 2010, 7:14 AM Post #1 of 4 (1458 views) Truck shifts in and out of gear Sign In I have a 1984 Chevy Silverado K10 4 x 4 truck with a 5.7 engine with over 200k miles I got this truck a couple months ago and it has always shifted in and out of gear at speeds between 30 and 35 miles per hour, it continues til I either let up of the gas or step on it . So far I've changed the shifter module on the side of transmission, I've also reajusted the carb. It's a edelbrook carburator and has 2 screws on the front , turned them in all the way in and then back out 3/4 turn then only 1/2 turns til ran smoothly. Fluid level is fine also. Your just creating new problems.
