Truck shifts in and out of gear Sign In

I have a 1984 Chevy Silverado K10 4 x 4 truck with a 5.7 engine with over 200k miles
I got this truck a couple months ago and it has always shifted in and out of gear at speeds
between 30 and 35 miles per hour, it continues til I either let up of the gas or step on it .
So far I've changed the shifter module on the side of transmission, I've also reajusted the carb.
It's a edelbrook carburator and has 2 screws on the front , turned them in all the way in and then
back out 3/4 turn then only 1/2 turns til ran smoothly. Fluid level is fine also.

I don't know how you ever concluded that adjusting the idle mixture screws would somehow effect the transmission but it won't. Your just creating new problems. There was nothing electronic on that trans so what are you calling a "shifter module"?

Ok maybe its called the shifter selinoid, it has a hose running to it and tranny fluid goes threw it. No wires or anything .

Have you tried adjusting your throttle valve cable?
