I am subsequently able to jump the car off and it will idle ok. Any input will be appreciated. What is the charging system voltage at the battery terminals? You stated you had to jump the vehicle? Have you made sure the battery tests good and the terminals are clean and tight? Many engines have a rev limiter far below that #. Brakes alter the show.
