Alright. I just got a 1994 Chevy Corsica with a 3.1 V-6. It runs great. But there was tranny fluid in the coolant. Would that mean a bad radiator? Also, the previous owner says the head gasket may need replacing. But there doesn't seem to be any leaks, or loss of power. Are there any other ways I can tell? But my main concern is the tranny fluid in the coolant.

If it is transmission fluid, you will need to replace the radiator or install an external transmission cooler. Be sure it is not oil going into the cooling system though. If it is oil, there is a real good possibility the head gasket or a water jacket is cracked

Ok. Well, I found out somethig new. The coolant seems to be coming from the heater core. It is dripping near the firewall. And I have not seen any more transmission fluid in the coolant either. It looks as if there may even be a line missing from the heater core, at the firewall, but I'm not sure what.

Note: Any oil - trans fluid or engine - will hurt the rubber parts of the cooling system including water pump seals and some heater cores use a rubber seal at the core for the necks to be able to move I think for ease of installation perhaps in only replacements and the ones I've seen really couldn't be fixed as the rubber was crimped in,
