I have a Toyota Camry 91 with a 2.0L engine and 116,300 miles that shakes a lot when the car is in drive and
is stopped but it is fine when its stopped in neutral or park, or when the
car is moving. It has been going on for about 6 months or more but has been doing it more often and more violent. The place I took it to get the oil changed and look at
the problem says that one of the cylinders is missing firing due to a
weak secondary ignition. Does this make sense? If it was missing firing
would it happened only when its in drive and not moving? The place
wanted $214 to fix the problem but I wanted to save some money and do
some things myself. Got any ideas of what I should do next? I have some
electronic background and a multimeter if it helps. Thanks.
