Timing belt blew, fixed and continual problems

We have a 2005 Kia Optima, 2.4 L 4 cyl, 83,000 miles. Timing belt blew and we had to replace engine head. Called to say we were not going to make it to pick up car by close and they said that was fine because there was an oil leak that they needed to find and fix. So they fix that. Pick up car and they say won't hold charge, needs new battery. As driving away the check engine light comes on. Take it back and they say hose loose. Fix that. The next day car DOES starts couldn't get battery replaced yet. Oil light is flickering and check engine light comes on again. Go get battery replaced. Check engine light went away. Next day car makes thud, jerks and then quit moving. Towed to shop and they say fuse went out in engine. What on earth is going on? I have never had so many problems with one incident. Any suggestions????

Oh my! I thought I had troubles! Hard lessen in neglecting a timing belt. Just up and do those on schedule.
Something seems messed up here. Where did that head come from? Rebuilt or plain used? May not be good??
If battery was original that's no loss as it was way overdo by age. Can't say but if battery was old and something drained it while working on it (a light or something) at the age that would have killed it IMO. If alternator overworked that could have blown a fuse - a maybe.
Flickering oil light then the stall probably was just low rpm making oil light but who knows right now? Let the shop figure out what they did, may have done wrong or if parts aren't good.

Yes, hard lesson learned on timing belt. No the head was new ordered from Kia Dealer. Just talked to shop and they found battery not connected right. We did not get battery from them went to WalMart. Guess second lesson learned. I still think that something might be wrong from the beginning!

??!! They found battery not connected right - like polarity wrong or what? I don't know if it could survive that never mind run anything?
Did you put it in or WalMart? If WalMart put a battery in wrong they should own this expense from now on if the shop will state it clearly,
