Takes A While To Start Sign In

Now my Blazer is having some trouble. When I try to start it it takes a while to kick on. It turns over and you can hear it wanting to start but it wont start till about 3-5 seconds after turning and holding the key. The battery is good and so is the starter, got them checked. Replaced the spark plugs and it still does it. After it runs and the engine is warmed up it starts up with no problem. Only when the engine is cool and has been sitting for a while does it do it. What could be causing this?

Its a 95 Chevy S-10 Blazer 2.3L V-6 Two-wheel Drive Auto

Get a fuel pressure gauge and flip the key on and see if the pressure jumps up. I suspect you may have a bad fuel pump relay and the fuel pump is powering off the oil pressure switch.

I probably never would have thought of the fuel pump. My father was thinking it may be the Distributor Cap and I was thinking the Ignition Coil.

I didn't say fuel pump. I said fuel pump relay but even that is just an idea that needs to be checked.
