While I was on vacation, my boyfriend had the oil changed and put conventional in it. Today, we noticed a piece of paper taped under the hood saying it's only had synthetic. A friend of mine is telling me that going from synthetic to conventional will cause my engine to blow. Everything else I've seen online says switching won't be an issue. Can I get an opinion on this? As long as you use the same recommend viscosity oil, you shouldn't have any problems. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
