Hi and thanks.
2003 F-150, 4.6L W/95k miles. Had codes pulled at Advanced Auto Care, lean mixture on both banks. Nothing done recently to precipitate stalling issue in drive and stopped at lights. No power issues at open throttle or acceleration. Seems to occur after short warm up period. Disconnected vacuum lines at manifold locations individually, no change in rpm. Valve(?) in center rear of throttle body supply manifold to intake manifold, (which has a coolant line and and a right bank valve cover vacuum line attached), has an elbow drawing air and hisses from vacuum, when covered idle is smooth. Should that hole be there, and what do think the fix would be? Thank you for your support.

Check for cracked intake manifold which I think is plastic and somewhat common to leak coolant more than this but corners can crack and would be sealing vacuum as well. Might not see it but intake vacuum might be universally low or off in a way that confuses how it runs with wrong info to engine control computer? A maybe,

Found probablem, small hole on vacuum line at rear of maniflod. An elbow that is at the intake end of the PVC hose assembly where I heard the hiss.

Glad you found it. If like ones I've found there are more and another type large Ford truck all of the elbows were lousy at about the same age so check any others. Closed as solved and can re-open by any moderator upon your request,
